About Us

Prior to founding Shrestha Global Advisory, Sanjay served as President of Plug Power, Inc., a global hydrogen ecosystem company. Under his leadership, Plug Power made multiple strategic acquisitions to establish itself as a fully integrated energy business capable of producing, liquefying, storing and transporting hydrogen fuel. During his tenure, Plug’s electrolyzer systems were deployed across five continents, and the company built the world’s first and largest liquid green hydrogen plant in just 13 months. Sanjay also led capital structuring and optimization initiatives, helping the company raise over $5 billion to fund various growth programs.
Before joining Plug Power, Sanjay was President of Sky Capital Americas and Chief Investment Officer of Sky Solar Holdings, where he led the development of solar projects across the United States, Europe, Uruguay and Japan.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Clean Tech Banking at B. Riley FBR, where he helped the firm become the #2 underwriter in the clean technology sector within 12 months. Prior to that, he was the Global Head of Clean Tech Research at Lazard Capital Markets, where he was ranked the #1 stock picker in the U.S. and #5 globally. He was also a member of the prestigious All-America Research Team. At Lazard, he also founded and hosted the Lazard Alternative Energy Summit, a major thought leadership event in the sector.
Sanjay began his career as Head of Energy Infrastructure and Clean Tech Research at First Albany Companies, Inc., where he was ranked #1 earnings estimator and stock picker by Forbes/Starmine.
With more than two decades of experience as an analyst, investor and executive, Sanjay is widely recognized as a thought leader in global energy transition. He received an honorary doctorate from The College of Saint Rose, where he served as the commencement speaker for the class of 2022.
Born and raised in Nepal, he currently resides in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is passionate about energy, travel and history.

Prior to joining Shrestha Global EPG Advisory, Tim served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at Plug Power. Tim is at the forefront of innovation in the hydrogen industry. His leadership was instrumental in expanding Plug Power's market share through several key initiatives, including the significant growth of the hydrogen refueling infrastructure business during his tenure as Vice President of Hydrogen Energy Systems from 2015 to 2021. In his role, he oversaw design, site installations and vital interactions with customers, partners and suppliers, which were critical in enhancing Plug Power's competitive position.
As CTO/CPO, Tim developed and managed corporate product roadmaps that aligned with the company's strategic five-year plan and customer needs, contributing to Plug Power's competitive edge. He was pivotal in formulating long-term technology and product roadmap strategies and implementing processes that distinguished Plug Power in the market. His role extended to providing technical leadership for government affairs, ensuring alignment with legislative activities at various levels of government. Notably, he has testified in two congressional hearings, advocating for policies beneficial to both Plug Power and the broader hydrogen industry. Tim has also established key relationships with over 40 leading technology universities across the U.S. and Europe, fostering collaboration that drives further advancements in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
Throughout his career, Tim has held several leadership positions that underscore his expertise and commitment to technology innovation. Before joining Plug Power, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Smiths Power, where he was instrumental in doubling the company's revenue growth through product line expansion. His earlier roles included significant positions at Exide Technologies, AT&T Bell Laboratories and Honeywell, where he gained valuable experience in product development and technical management.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University and has been awarded several patents covering power system architectures. He is also an active member of several advisory boards, including the University of Albany's College of Nanotechnology, Science and Engineering Advisory Council and the Industry Advisory Board for the Center for Future Energy Systems at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Prior to joining Shrestha Global advisory, Bhagawan served in the CTO Office at Plug Power, Inc., (a global hydrogen ecosystem company), where he oversaw and grew the IP portfolio, led the development of manufacturing technology roadmap and strategic partnerships. He built and led a pipeline of jointly funded R&D initiatives with partners and collaborators as well as technology explorations and validations with providers and integrators. As such he helped the company position its IP portfolio among customers and fund providers, advance its manufacturing operations and build a partnership ecosystem with shared vision and ambitions.
Before joining Plug Power, Inc., Bhagawan served in different roles at Global Foundries, a semiconductor chip manufacturing company with worldwide presence. He led the technology and engineering team focused on chip prototyping and qualifications. He oversaw CTO Office engagements with strategic partners/collaborators and with the company's IP division, steering the growth of the company’s technology positioning among semiconductor industry partners and customers.
Earlier in his career, he served for 10 years as a research professor in advanced semiconductor technology at The University of Texas at Austin. He led the strategic collaboration with semiconductor chip companies in a consortium set-up with AMD, Micron, Intel, IBM, Samsung, TSMC, ARM, Qualcomm wherein he oversaw projects with these partners on next-gen semiconductor products.
Bhagawan brings 25+ years of experience as a strategist, technologist and futurist and is widely known for driving partner-led growth across multiple industries. He received a doctorate in Physics from University of Pune, India in 2000. Born and raised in India, he currently resides in Latham, New York. He is passionate about technology, music and sustainability and is an avid reader.
